Dog shows are a great social event of meeting up with old friends and making new ones.  The GSD League of GB British Regional Group have a number of clubs nationwide that train and hold League Regional Shows annually.  All their information of clubs and events past and present can be found at URL: http://www.gsdl-brg.co.uk/.

Alongside the GSD specific shows run by the GSD League of GB, the Kennel Club hold all breed shows, that on occassion have classes for GSD's.  If there are not any specific GSD classes then you can enter your Shepherd into AVNSC pastoral classes.  Listings of shows nationwide can be found at URL: http://www.fossedata.co.uk/.

With both GSD League shows and Kennel Club shows, your dog does need to be registered with the Kennel Club.  Club secretaries will always be glad to help with any enquiries and help with completing of entry forms.  A useful guide for newcomers can be found on their website URL: https://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/activities/dog-showing/new-to-dog-showing/

GSD's are shown slightly different to other breeds so it really is a good idea to visit some shows and speak to exhibitors/owners for advice and join a club.  We do like to have a big show ring so we can really show off our dogs movement, so the more room the better.
